OMG!!! I could not believe it when i found out teddy had died!!! I was so upset!! I ride a pony to in western events and i know how hard it is to compete against horses twice his size!!! my heart goes out to the O'Connor eventing team, he will be greatly missed in the eventing world!!!!

he was my favorite eventer in the world! I almost cryed when I herd.

he will always be in my heart. I'm sure it was the right thing to put him down, not have him suffer, but it still hurts. he was the bestin the world!

This is soo sad. He was my favorite eventer to watch. I will, and so many others will mourn with Karen and David, in this time of sadness and grief. God bless.

This is SO sad! It would be really hard for me to go through anything like that! Teddy was one amazing little horse! It's unbelieveable how great he was. RIP, Teddy. Your story will always be remembered!

Watching Teddy soar over the fences in the Rolex, it was like my heart went soaring over them with him. It was impossible not to love and cheer for Teddy. Loosing him is absolutely heartbreaking. Sometimes the right decisions are the toughest to make. My heart goes out to The entire O'Connor team.

When I heard, I cried. I called my friend, and we cried together. Then, I went to my lesson amd told my horse what happened, an we cried. My friends and I are holding our own memorial service in honor of a great pony who inspired us all and deserves his place in history. :( Karen and David, thank you for doing the right thing. He will be remembered forever.

I was devastated when I heard what had happened, he was my pony Idol-I have a horse, Mowgli who is also a thoroughbred-shetland-cross(we jump 3' now and he is 14'3) and our goal was to be as good as him, I hope someday we will follow in your footsteps R.I.P Teddy

Dear David and Karen. my sincerest apologies Teddy, it was a freak accident and i thankyou for having the courage to put him to sleep. his ability just goes to show the heart these animals possess. RIP Teddy, my thoughts are with you.

I saw Karen and Teddy at Rolex, 2007, the first time I'd been to the **** event. All weekend I rooted for "the bionic pony" ridden by my hero, Karen. I am so sorry for your loss. In your book you stated that quality if life is more important than quantity of life. Certainly Teddy had a life many horses would envy. Although we will miss him, his bravery on the cross country course against the bigger horses will live on in my heart forever.

I am saddened, can't stop crying...probably for fear of losing my own friend one day...my heart is with all who knew and loved Teddy...Godspeed, big boy...may you run forever in heaven.
